I started working with Shannon when I was 15 weeks pregnant with our first child. I was hoping to avoid the problems I’d heard about from so many friends – back pain, hip pain, etc. – and stay as active as possible throughout my pregnancy. Prenatal pilates helped me do all that, but also proved to be so much more than I expected! I kept with it until 38 weeks and felt great the whole time, and I delivered our daughter in 4 pushes. The labor nurses were so impressed. Pilates has also proven to be a huge help with my postnatal recovery.
